Enrollment Policies
Introduction
The San Bernardino County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) courses offered by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools are designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary for employment and future career success. These policies are established to ensure a comprehensive, fair, and transparent educational experience for all participants.
Enrollment and Admission
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older. Certain courses may have additional prerequisites, which will be clearly listed in the course enrollment pages.
- Application Process: Prospective students must submit a completed enrollment form, proof of prerequisites, and any additional documents required by specific courses before the published deadline.
- Enrollment Period: Enrollment for San Bernardino County ROP courses will close the day before the course begins or when the course reaches maximum capacity, whichever comes first.
Course Fees
- Fee Structure: Course fees are determined based on the nature of the course, required materials, and associated costs.
- Payment Terms: Full payment is due at the time of enrollment. We accept all major credit cards through our enrollment platform.
Attendance Policies
- Students enrolled in San Bernardino County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) courses are expected to attend all scheduled class sessions and maintain consistent participation throughout the duration of the course. Attendance is essential for developing the practical skills and knowledge required for successful course completion.
- Failure to attend scheduled classes will result in removal from the course. Students who do not attend required class sessions, including the first day of instruction, will be dropped from the course in accordance with SBC ROP enrollment policies.
Academic Performance and Conduct
- Code of Conduct: Students are expected to adhere to a professional standard of behavior, including appropriate dress, punctuality, and respect for instructors and peers.
- Disciplinary Actions: Violations of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or expulsion from the program.
Refund Policy
- Non-refundable Payments: Payments for classes and services are nonrefundable. Once registered, refunds will not be issued, even if you cancel or are unable to attend.
- Class Cancellations: If a class is canceled by San Bernardino County ROP, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Course Completion and Certification
- Completion Requirements: Successful completion requires meeting all academic and attendance requirements as set by the course instructor.
- Certification: Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion from San Bernardino County ROP.
