San Bernardino County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) offers a Community Health Worker (CHW) course that is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to serve as effective health educators and advocates within our communities. This course is specifically tailored for individuals who are interested in understanding the unique health needs and challenges facing communities in San Bernardino County. Participants will have access to the latest tools and resources within the field, and will receive ongoing support and guidance throughout the course.
 
Upon completion of the course, participants will have the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a community health worker, or to enhance their effectiveness in their current role as a health educator or advocate. This course is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about improving the health and well-being of our communities. Course participants can expect to gain the following:
Role of CHW, Community Health and Illness, Health Care and Health Policy, Interactive Teaching and Learning Approaches.
