Support - Information & Training

IEConnect, facilitated by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS), serves as the Inland Empire’s regional sponsor for pre-apprenticeships, recognized by California’s Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS). Through IEConnect, educators and partners gain access to aligned training, onboarding tools, and ongoing support to deliver high-quality, competency-based pre-apprenticeship experiences that lead to real opportunities for students.

Pathway Handouts: Explore Your Future Career

These downloadable one-pagers provide an overview of each IEConnect Pre-Apprenticeship Pathway, including program highlights, potential career opportunities, income potential, and key steps in the Pre-Apprenticeship Journey. Designed for students, families, and educators, each handout outlines what to expect, how to prepare, and how to connect high school learning to real-world careers in high-demand industries across the Inland Empire.

JFF Framework for High-Quality Pre-Apprenticeships

High-quality pre-apprenticeship programs provide structured instruction, hands-on preparation, and targeted support that directly lead into registered apprenticeship programs or career pathways. When embedded in high school settings, pre-apprenticeships serve as powerful bridges to high-wage, high-growth careers, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds. These programs help drive equity by expanding access to meaningful work-based learning experiences and diversifying the future workforce.

IEConnect aligns with and supports the Jobs for the Future (JFF) Framework for High-Quality Pre-Apprenticeships to ensure strong outcomes and equitable access for all students.
