Postsecondary Workforce Ready: Career Skills Series

This four-part series is designed to equip adult learners with essential skills for gaining employment and thriving in the workplace.

 

Whether you're new to the workforce, reentering after time away, or seeking to build confidence in your job search, these workshops provide practical guidance to help you succeed in today’s competitive job market. The sessions are interactive, supportive, and tailored to adult learners at all stages of their career journey.


What You Will Learn:

Customer Service Skills
Learn the fundamentals of excellent customer service, including professionalism, active listening, problem-solving, and handling difficult situations with confidence.

Resume Building
Create a polished, professional resume that showcases your skills and experience. Learn best practices for formatting, tailoring your resume to different job types, and catching the attention of employers.

 

Job Applications
Gain the skills to accurately complete job applications, highlight your qualifications effectively, and avoid common errors that can prevent you from moving forward in the hiring process.

 

Interview Skills & Professional Communication
Develop strategies to confidently answer common interview questions and use positive body language. Improve your verbal and non-verbal communication for professional workplace success.
