Mock Trial

The Mock Trial Program is a collaborative between the offices of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.  The Mock Trial Program provides students the working knowledge of legal institutions and the judicial system. Students research the case developed by Teach Democracy and prepare for trial competition. Presiding Judges, Prosecutors, Public Defenders, and Private Attorneys volunteer their expertise and time to provide guidance to teams competing and preside over and score the competition.

Registration is now available for schools planning to participate in the 2026–2027 San Bernardino County Mock Trial Competition. Information and Details are below.

If you are interested in starting a Mock Trial Team for the 2026-2027 season, please contact us at sbcropevents@sbcss.net. New teams are encouraged and welcome to participate.

Teacher-coaches are required to attend the Coaches Meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm via Zoom. (Zoom link)
