Workforce SBCSS is proud to support student events that promote work-based learning and essential skill building across the region. Events vary in length, time, age group, and delivery method. Whether on-line or in-person, each event is specifically designed to support and build work readiness, as well as awareness of the career opportunities available in our region.
Law & Public Safety Day
Step into the world of law enforcement through a high-impact, hands-on experience led by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where students explore careers, engage with professionals, and witness real-world demonstrations from specialized units like SWAT, aviation, and forensic investigation.
STEMapalooza
An interactive, regionwide STEM experience that brings careers to life through virtual industry tours, hands-on activities, and insights from professionals helping students discover the skills, pathways, and possibilities within STEM fields.
Mock Trial
A rigorous, real-world courtroom competition where students take on roles as attorneys, witnesses, and court officials building legal knowledge, critical thinking, and public speaking skills while working alongside judges and legal professionals.
Student Symposiums
Career-focused events that combine hands-on learning, industry engagement, and pathway exploration giving students direct exposure to skills, certifications, and opportunities that connect education to future careers.
Work-Based Learning Competitions
