K-12 Strong Workforce Program (K12 SWP)

The K12 Strong Workforce Program grant is designed to support K-12 local education agencies (LEAs) in creating and expanding high-quality Career Technical Education programs. This grant aims to help students transition from secondary education to postsecondary education and into high-demand,

living-wage careers. It emphasizes the collaboration between K-12 schools, community colleges, and industry partners to align education with regional workforce needs. 

Technical Assistance consists of:

  • Advising on strategies to sustain and scale CTE programs, including identifying additional funding sources
  • Assisting with the development of clear project objectives, work plans, and budgets aligned with      K12 SWP goals
  • Facilitating connections with community colleges, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance program quality 
  • Offering workshops and consultations to help applicants navigate the application process and submit competitive proposals 
  • Organizing training sessions for educators and administrators on innovative CTE practices and curriculum alignment 
  • Providing training on how to meet data collection and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and track progress
