Workforce SBCSS provides comprehensive grant technical assistance to support the success of Career Technical Education (CTE) initiatives across San Bernardino County. Through workshops, individualized consultations, and resource development, we assist districts and schools in developing competitive proposals that advance high-quality CTE programs, align with regional labor market needs, and meet grant funding priorities. Our team also offers guidance on program design, data reporting, and long-term funding strategies to promote sustainability and scalability. To further enhance program quality, Workforce SBCSS builds and sustains partnerships with community colleges, industry leaders, and educational partners to support strong, future-focused CTE pathways.
CalWORKS: California Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids
CalWORKs funding supports career education programs that help individuals gain the skills needed for employment and economic stability. Workforce SBCSS partners with districts and adult education providers to strengthen program design, align training with workforce needs, and expand access to supportive services. Through this work, we help create pathways that promote long-term success for students and families.
GSPP: Golden State Pathways Program
The Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) expands access to high-quality college and career pathways for students across the region. Workforce SBCSS supports the development and implementation of innovative, industry-aligned programs that integrate academic and technical learning. Through regional collaboration, we help districts design pathways that prepare students for both postsecondary education and in-demand careers.
CTEIG: Career Technical Education Incentive Grant
The Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) provides critical funding to strengthen and expand high-quality CTE programs. Workforce SBCSS assists districts in aligning programs with industry standards, improving course sequences, and increasing access to work-based learning opportunities. Our support ensures that funded programs are responsive to regional labor market needs and positioned for long-term success.
K12 SWP: K-12 Strong Workforce Program
The K–12 Strong Workforce Program (SWP) focuses on building and expanding career pathways that are aligned with high-demand sectors. Workforce SBCSS works collaboratively with districts, community colleges, and industry partners to develop programs that provide students with real-world experiences and clear transitions from education to career. This includes support for pathway development, dual enrollment, and work-based learning.
Perkins V: Section 132
Perkins V (Section 132) funding supports the continuous improvement of CTE programs to ensure equitable access and student success. Workforce SBCSS provides guidance on program planning, accountability, and compliance, helping districts strengthen instruction and align with state and federal requirements. Our work focuses on improving outcomes for all students while advancing high-quality, inclusive career pathways.
