Drone Pilot Certification & Training

Open to San Bernardino County Seniors (Class of 2022)
Application opens on March 3, 2022 and closes on April 15, 2022
 
Level One - Drone Pilot License
  • Prepare to take the Part 107 Certification test.
  • Create & pitch a “Drone Services” business plan.
  • Meet employers and explore regional drone jobs.
  • Must pass test and get licensed to proceed to Level Two and Three.
Level Two - Ground School
 
This course will be conducted onsite at the SBD Airport in four 2-hour segments (8 hours total).  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be ready for Flight Line Training.
 
Level Three - Flight Line Training
 
This is a critical aspect of the comprehensive training consisting of 3-hour segments onsite (10-20 hours total depending on skill level), providing participants the opportunity to gain confidence as a pilot and build the wide variety of flight skills needed by the industry.
